Will The Lump In Breast Due To Cancer Or Post Menopause?

My mom (63yrs) had severe pain in left breast where doctors told that it is a small cyst which is well identified in the early stage, which was followed up with FNAC and mammogram and was asked to perform surgery. Can anyone dagnosis whether it is a breast cancer or a lump which occur is due to post menopause . We are worried about the proper diagnosis as we have been consulting a chain of doctors who are going on referring another doctor...

Hi. To confirm presence of cancer, a biopsy is required. It can be trucut (using wide bore trucut needle) or surgical removal (excision biopsy/incisional biopsy). if your doctor have advised to perform surgery after FNAC and mammogram, there seems to be some suspicion of cancer.
