i went to my doctor today for pain in my clitoris and because i thought i had a yeast infection. turns out i do have a yeast infection but the doctor thinks the pain could be from herpes, though she didn't think it was likely because i am 17 and the pain only started a couple days after i had oral sex (this was the first time i have had any sexual contact with someone in over a year). i have a small red cut/sore on my clitoris. do you think there is a chance it could be herpes? my partner has only had sex once and we haven't had sex yet. he doesnt' have cold sores on his mouth either. i was tested today via a culture but i won't get the results back for a week. i have only been involved sexually with one other person, which was over a year ago. please help!

hello... thanks for your query on HCM... dont be worried.. there can be a possibility of it being herpes too.. as you have been involved in sex with another person also, you stand to be in a risk for the same... but nevertheless, the possibilities of it not being there also cannot be ruled put.. better do wait for the culture results to coma and see as to what exactly is in the report... do follow the treatment protocol meticulously... do be cautious in future... take all possible precautions .. wish you good health...
