HI .I have an ear infection had have been prescribed candibiotic ear drops. I started using them on Saturday just over 48hours ago and the pain and symptoms have not reduced. Is this normal or should i consider returning to my doctor for another form of treatment?
Hi, thanks for your query. candibiotic ear drops is for fungal infection of the ear. If symptoms have not reduced then you may have to add on oral antibiotics. If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed penicillin antibiotics + decongestant tablet twice daily for 5 days. Keep ear dry.
