Will Valtrex Cause Yeast Infection?

Is Valtrex and antibiotic, as I am wondering if it will cause a yeast infection? Female 46 yrs of age. Took 8 pills of valtrex on Tuesday, August 14. 4 in the morning, another 4, 12 hr later for a cold sore on lip, that just broke out that morning. Thank you

hello,thanks for your query, any antiviral medication(valtrex) causes immuno compomised . any immuno compromised parson can get yeast(fungal) infection.hope i have answered your query. all the best. take care.
