Wind, Diarrhea, Constipated, Burping, Green Stools. No Abdominal Pain Or Blood In Stools. Any Idea?

I have been experiencing stomach problems for the last month. In the first two weeks I was easy bloated and a lot of trapped wind occurred that wasnt released easily and had two days of diarrhea where I would be relieved from the symptoms. I felt hunger but no appetite to eat and my stomach felt rather heavy. For the last two weeks I have been quite constipated with a lot of wind which is released easily and a lot of burping. I have also noticed that my stools have been quite stringy and lately quite green. I do have appetite to eat but still my stomach feels somehow uncomfortable. I have not noticed any blood in my stools and do not have any type of cramps or abdominal pain. The discomfort has moved from my upper abdomen to the lower one. I have been taking some organic stuff to fortify my stomach with good bacteria, it seemed that they helped at first but constipation ensured a couple of days after I was taking them. Any idea of what my problem might involve? There was rumors of stomach bugs around but usually someone recovers from these after a few days. I am 37, no history of cancers or any other abnormalities, but still quite concerned about the worst case scenario. Thank you in advance for your replies.

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Colon cancer risk rises significantly over the age of 50, so it is rather unlikely at your age.
Your symptoms can be caused by bad diet (low fiber intake, low mineral water intake), lack of physical activity, chronic bowels infection, thyroid disease, medicines (Ca-blockers, antidepressants) or inflammatory bowels disease.

I suggest you to start with a diet. Please increase fiber rich products and mineral water intake. Probiotic is a very good idea. You should also try to have some physical activity (it greatly stimulates bowels to move). Stool tests and stool culture test should be also done to see if there is any chronic infection. You may discuss with your doctor Rifaximine treatment (it is worth to try this medicine in cases like yours).

Hope this will help.
Regards.
