Hi I have a fractured wrist (Hamate bone)which happened 20 weeks ago. I have been using a a exogen machine on it and 3 weeks ago dr said he can see signs of it healing. Do you think this will heal completely on its own or will I need surgery. I have a lot of pain from this. Thanks

hello, you need to avoid weight bearing on the affected hand. for pain relief, you can apply ice pack or pain killers as prescribed by your doctor & once your fracture is stable, gradually you should start with range of motion exercises and muscle strengthening program proceeding from isometric to concentric contractions.
