Would Increasing The Dose Of Metoprolol Tartrate Cause Low Blood Pressure?

currently take 12.5 mg metoprolol tartrate twice a day, blood pressure averages 113/68 pulse 68. Doctor wants to increase dose to 25 mg twice daily. I have concern of too low blood pressure with dosage increase. Is it wise to increase the dosage when all is working well now with the lower dose?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
No need to increase the dose once your blood pressure is within normal,,like you said it can cause hypotension if it increases
