Would Taking AKT4 Cause Joint Pain?
I was diagnosed with tuberculosis synovitis in Feb 2012, I was started with AKT4 for 60 days, now I am been started with R-Cinex for the past two days, but for the past 15 days I have severe joint and muscle pain. Is it side effect of AKT4?

I can understand your concern.
AKT 4 contains rifampicin, isoniazid, pyrazinamide and ethambutol.
Amongst these, pyrazinamide and ethambutol cause rise in uric acid level.
And this high uric acid level can actually deposit in the joint space and cause joint pain.
High uric acid can also cause muscle damage and cause muscular pain.
So better to get done serum uric acid level.
If it is high then start febuxostat to lower down uric acid.
