X-ray Showed 4th And 5th Metatarsals Broken Due To Rolling Of Left Foot. Foot Turning Red When Standing Up. On Boot And Crutches. Normal?

Good Day. I rolled my left foot (to the outside) a month ago, didn't think I had a broken foot so I hobbled around for three weeks. Then, got x-rays and found the 4th and 5th metatarsals were broken so started wearing a boot and using crutches. The 4th one is fairly crunched up, but still touching in one spot. My main concern right now is that when I stand up, my foot turns red. Is this a normal thing in these circumstances and could I send my x-rays for you to look at?

Hello,

I have studied your case with diligence.

As per your history it seems that there was no early and adequate immobilisation given for your metatarsal fracture.
As on putting weight there is redness and swelling so you may need medication like trypsin and chymotripsin to reduce swelling.
Keep leg and foot elavated when swelling increases.
Take calcium and vit d supplement.
Yes you can attach your x ray so that i can help you better.
you can directly send to me on http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-vaibhav-gandhi/63503
