My mom s X ray report says evidence of cardiomegaly is noted.increased pulmonary vascular markings are seen. Hazinesss is noted in bilateral mid and lower zones. Blunting of both CP angle is seen. The domes are intact. Eternal sutures are seen in place. General breathlessness is felt. Can you please suggest. She inasmuch been prescribed Dytor , 5 mg today
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
Whatever information you have given for your mother, she has cardiomegaly with pulmonary oedema, blunting of bot the C P angles suggest cardiac failure and swelling in lungs.
This is the reason she is prescribed Dytor which is diuretic,it will increase urine out put and will relive lungs
congestion. Haziness should be part of pulmonary oedema but secondary infection may causing Pneumonitis.
Sternal suture points out to wards a Bypass Surgery in past.
Hope this information will help.
If there is any doubt you can ask me.
Take care
Best of Luck.
