Yellow Mucus Through Blocked Nose, Occasionally Drips Back In Throat Causing Awful Taste. Had Sinus Surgery. Guidance?
Yellow mucus coming out from nose/blocked nose.Whenever I try to blow my nose the mucus either comes out in large quantities or it just hurts to blow my nose and nothing comes out and my ears also hurt when I blow my nose. The mucus also drips in the back of my throat and makes me mouth taste awful and it just smells awful too. I had a sinus/ septum operation a month ago btw.

It may be due to sinusitis
You should have proper treatment for that wchich includes a combinationf of
1. An antibiotic such as Tab. Augmentine 625 mg twice daily for 05 days
2. An oral decongestant such as Tab. Loratidine twice daily for 05 days.
3. An antiinflammatory agent such as Tab. Ibuprofen 400 mg thrice daily for 05 days.
There is nothing to worry about you will be fine in a day or two.

Yellow discharge means infection - you may need antibiotic / one that will cover anaerobes also.
Post nasal drip - The drainage is probably blocked / local decongestants can help / ear pain is from Eustachian catarrh from pharyngeal irritation
