Yes, my husband is receiving Valcade shots as a part of his treatment for Waldenstroms Lymphoma. Do you know if Valcade contains any aspirin or aspirin products? He had been in remission for 7 years and in March 2016 we found that it has returned.
A few years ago he was diagnosed with an allergy to any aspirin products. Since beginning his Valcade, he has had a horrible cough with some occasional mucus, no fever or other problems, very much the same as the results of aspirin. He coughs day & night and especially hard if laying down. At the end of March, he received his first series of 2 shots per week for 2 weeks of Valcade. (April 14th we left on a 17 day cruise. On our 4th day out this cough started. Upon our return he was scheduled to receive another shot, but the Dr delayed it in case the cough was from a "bug" (an Xray showed clear lungs). Then the cough "seemed" to have lightened up and he was able to sleep (sitting up) for around 6 hours without coughing bad. On May 10th he received another shot, and he is coughing very hard and most of the time again. Last night it seemed to be right back to where this started -- worse. I've read where a cough is a "rare" side effect. I know I'm guessing, but the circumstances just make sense to me. HELP?
