i am going to get full hip replacement, after having a complete hardware failure of the first attempt, and now I am very nervous about the second attempt. The first attempt was eight-inch screws, a strap, and an anchor. The screws ether bent or broke, the strap dislodged, and as for the anchor?. The surgery also left me with a major infection of all the parts. Now I have a antibiotic washer and a steel rod holding my hip and leg three inch's shorter than my right leg. I am being blamed for the hardware failure, which to me is absurd. How can titanium bolts break from a minor fall? I am a metal worker, so I know metals well enough to know, titanium doesn't just bend or especially break. should I be worried about these surgions?
