Is It Normal To Still Be In Pain After Pasturing Fractured Hand?

Hi, I fractured my radius and scaphiod bone on my left hand whilst skiing 7 weeks ago. I have been in plaster since with one weel left to go but my thumb and wrist are still painful. What is the liklehood of having to stay in plaster longer and is it normal to still be in pain. I am 45 year old woman.
