Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

I personally feel that there is no role for conservative (non surgical) management in young and active individuals (guessing that you are of younger age group) with a torn ACL and Meniscal injury.

If both these issues are not properly addressed, there is every chance that early degenerative arthritis may set in leading to more misery in future.

I suggest you to undergo Arthroscopic ACL reconstruction along with either meniscal excision/repair to have a more favourable outcome. Arthroscopic surgical repair offers more predictable and satisfactory outcomes in ACL & Meniscal injuries than conservative treatment.

Consult an experienced Arthroscopic surgeon for further management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good luck
