Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 7 year old step daughter is here for a visit and brought a bag full of inhalers with her. she has never formally been diagnosed with asthma and the inhalers do not have her name or doctor instructions on them. her mother wrote on the inhalers her instructions. she wants her to have 2 puffs of proair hfa at 6am, 12pm, and 6 pm and two puffs of flovent hfa at 6 am, 12pm and 6pm. she also has a ventolin hfa inhaler marked as 'emergency' it seems an excessive amount and we are worried to give her this without talking to her doctor first. should we give her all these medicines?
