My Father Is 89 Years Old And Fractured His 8th

my Father is 89 years old and fractured his 8th and 9th rib on Wednesday. He was admitted into the hospital and was discharged yesterday. Tonight he complained of feeling nauseated and vomited twice, and his abdomen seems to be very tight and round. He does not have a temp, and he is not diaphorectic. he is not SOB. what signs of pneumonia should I be concerned about and should I be concerned about the vomiting that has since subsided
