Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband is 47 years old. he has just recently hurt his lower back lifting about two weeks ago, this is a pre-existing injury. he now complains of what feels like a huge lump in his throat (at the bottom), he feels like it is right where his ribcage begins (at the top of the 'v'). He feels major pressure there and can barely eat or drink it is so uncomfortable. His stomach is now distended and is gradually getting worse. Is there anything he can do to alleviate the pressure until we get him to the doctor. we are from canada, he is on business trip in U.S.
