I am a basketball player in high school.I am pretty well going into the season.Yesterday I was exoeriencing some pain near my shin. The trainer thought it was just a shin split so he iced it.After walking back I was exoeriencing even more pain.I sat out for the rest of practice. The next day I got him to ice it before practice.About 40 minutes into practice I was experiencing pain on the level of an 8.He had me stand on my toes and heel many times and as I came down there was pain.I was having pain in my heel to.The pain is on the inside of my right leg and it's like 4 inches up for my ankle.
Stop the practise immediately , you need rest. It causes strain on your shin muscles. Get an ice pack done, an X- ray to the area, check for local injuries. Elevate the area from rest of body if there is a swelling.
