What Is The Cause For The Numbness In My Forehead And Eye After An Injury At The Hairline When On Tylenol And Codeine?
I ran into a tree branch and had to have a piece of a tree bud taken out at ER. It was at my hairline. It required opening it up and digging out the pieces and putting 4 stitches in. I had some numbness around my forehead and eye the following day. I had trouble sleeping because of the pain so I got a prescription of Tylenol with codeine. I have not taken this before. 12 hours later my eye was slightly puffy underneath and 24 hours later my eyes swelled at the bridge of my nose. I am wondering if this is a delayed symptom from hitting the tree or is it a side effect to the codeine? The ER did not take an x-ray so could it be from bruising to my face?
Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum. It appears that you had a cut at the fore head ,and it is repaired with further incision, and stitches. what ever the steps you take, or medicine you use, it will swell around the eye, due to the oozing of the capillaries in that area. I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ofloxacin, ornidazole, serratio peptidase, and diclophenac sodium.Still you will have that swelling but will resolve fast.so don't worry about any thing. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
