Temporal muscle

What is Temporal muscle?

The temporal muscle/ temporalis, is a muscle of mastication. It is a broad, fan-shaped muscle located on each side of the head in the temporal fossa and superior to the zygomatic arch so it covers much of the temporal bone. It is supplied by third (mandibular) branch of the trigeminal nerve.
