“Promiscuity is injurious to your body, your mind and your spirit. You must know that it is harming you emotionally, draining you physically and on a spiritual angle it is making you weaker. It is high time you move away from being promiscuous. Suppose, someone else is promiscuous, would you like it? You want people to be loyal to you, right? All these pleasures are so momentary. At some point of time your spirit, your soul will say, no I want to get out of it. And when that moment comes don’t miss it. Grab it and move on.” Said Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji (spiritual guide).
When searched medical literature and researches on the above issue, following findings were confirmed:
- promiscuous behaviour and indulgence in sensory pleasures can lead to deterioration of mental health.
- Increased incidence of repeated thoughts, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression and substance abuse
- Negatively affected relationships with family members
- Female’s mental health affected more than male’s mental health
- Both females and males have significantly higher incidence of substance abuse
- Higher incidence of sexually transmitted disease leading to further deterioration of mental and physical health
- Unable to think clearly and make decisions
Avoid the downfall, by grabbing onto the opportunity to move on. Feel free to consult specialists in managing mental health and sexually transmitted diseases online.
