12 Months Baby Having Typhoid. Will It Be Cured Completely? Suggest Diet Plans

Plz. help.
I am surprised for this little baby having culture test positive for typhoid fever. If so, please also ask fro sensitivity report for the cultured microbe; that will help us specific drugs that will definitely help in this case. Often when blood culture is positive; hospitalization and intravenous drug therapy is preferred. hospitalization also helps tackle child's fluid and electrolytes so child will look alert and active to bear the stress of disease.
typhoid fever also known as enteric fever, is a gut infection; that results in inflammation in gut making the digestion uncomfortable; so child may refuse to take solids. Its very important to maintain child's intake with calorie XXXXXXX liquids and semi-solids.. so as to prevent worsening and dehydration in addition.
Typhoid can be cured completely. Often it taken 6 to 14 days with antibiotics. Freedom from fever may be early sign of recovery process. A stool culture after 2 weeks may help diagnose and tackle carrier state of typhoid fever. After 2 year age, child can be immunized for typhoid with specific vaccine. Apart from vaccine; other precautions needed are good hygiene practices especially the hands of baby and mother should be washed with soap before and after every feed and toilet. care takers should not put anything in infants mouth unless their hands are washed.
Use boiled and cooled water for drinking also get the spoons and bowls used for feeding boiled to make them germ free,
I hope this answers your concerns .. feel free to ask any further.
Thank you.
