Suggest Treatment For Flu With Fever And Vomiting

Son came down w/flu symptoms 7:30 Friday am, went to ER 11:30 Friday night, got IV 750 w/zolfran, went home vomitting & diahreah cont, through Sunday am, back to ER about 11:00 am Sunday, another IV 750 ml s w/zolfran, stopped the vomitting but basically everything in comes out through stool, now it s going on 4 days, NO high fever only 1 time 101.8 at hospital, other than that low temp between 94-98, stomach pain he says feels around an 8, just noticed his feet looked yellow, he said feet always yellow, 1st ER visit said some bacteria in urine & elevated white count, blood test 145, 2nd ER visit urine looked good other than dehydration & fecal tests gets sent out so no info there..IS THIS JUST THE FLU??

Hi,

Pumping with antibiotics is not the answer, hydrate him well. Also start no a course of probiotics to normalise the guy flora. Do this for 15 days if no improvement then repeat blood and stool analysis along with a scan.
