Are Bloated Abdomen, Missed Periods And Cramps Suggestive Of Ectopic Pregnancy?
Question: I have a bloated belly, a missed period, a burning sensation in my stomach, and mild cramping. I have been diagnosed with endometriosis for at least 10 years now. I have had a laproscopy in past and 2 children. My worry is an ectopic pregnancy because i have had one 10 years ago and lost one of my tubes. My question is this. Do you think these symptoms make that possible? Years ago i didnt have any warning just started fainting.
Brief Answer:
Go for pelvic examination and ultrasound.
Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
Welcome to HCM,
I can understand your concerns,
These symptoms are not related to ectopic pregnancy.
In ectopic pregnancy, a patient faces missed period, lower abdomen pain, mild vaginal bleeding and in ruptured ectopic fainting, shock like symptoms.
I suggest that you should consult your gynecologist for pelvic examination (tenderness in cervix movement indicates ectopic pregnancy).
And further confirmation by blood beta-hcg level(doubling of beta-hcg level in two consecutive testing done after 48 hours confirms intrauterine pregnancy) , pelvic ultrasound.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask further.
Thanks.
