Can Adipex Be Taken When On Anafranil, Lamictal And Xanax?
Question: I am taking several mood disorder medications. They are anafranil, lamictal, mirapex, and xanax. I want to know if I can take a weight loss medication such as adipex.

Adipex itself can cause side effects to cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, dermatology, nervous, hepatic, musculoskeletal, respiratory and sensory systems.

I can check my blood pressure periodically, which normally runs low. I can sense stomach problems, fever, and headaches but how do i know if my heart is beating rapidly without having it checked by a doctor. Is there some type of sensation that I can feel?

Regular ecg and pulse examination are required by a doctor for monitoring. Though you can do some of monitoring regarding side effects, you are not an expert to treat side effects. SO better to inform your treating doctor beforehand if you are taking any medicine other than prescribed.
Increased heart rate is reflected in peripheral vessels pulse naturally. Pulse more than 100 per minute is called rapid pulse(tachycardia)
Sometime rapid heart rate leads to palpitation in which you feel your heart is pumping/racing/pounding.So basic pulse examination is helpful to monitor heart rate.
However for detail monitoring of heart function at least periodic ECG(EKG) is an essential tool.
