Can Cetrizine Be Taken For Throat Allergy By A Lactating Mother?

Question: My wife is having throat allergy, warmness in eyes but no temperature, though it is higherside normal. Lactating mother. Can she take cetrizine or any other medicine?

Anti-allergic medicines, particularly doxinate, cetirizine and chlorpheniramine, are considered safe during pregnancy and lactation and can be taken. She can try cetrizine. It is non-sedative and will not cause sedation in mother and baby.
