Can Clopidogrel Cause Fatigue?

Question: Just started after being on clopidogrel for 5 years Am tired washed out and sleep all the time No obvious bleeding

Hello,

clopidogrel may cause fatigue in 1-10% of patients taking it. Although I don't have concluding data to present, I believe that the frequency is closer to 1% than 10% but this is what's been recorded so far. Perhaps you should talk with your doctor about alternatives. There are other antiplatelet drugs like aspirin, prasugrel, triflusal, etc.

Correction I have just started Apixaban after being on clopidogrel for 5 years and wonder if this is cause of gross fatigue I have stopped clopidogrel

Apixaban may cause fatigue. The frequency is almost the same as with clopidogrel (1-10% of patients taking it). So it is possible...
