Is There Another Blood Thinner That Can Be Prescribed Rather Than The Cilastizol?

My husband went through heart surgery last summer and had three stents put in. The cardiologist put him on two different blood thinners and he is allergic to aspirin. The two thinners are Effient and Cilastizol. He is having a very bad reaction to the Cilastizol with diarrhea and was told to take only a quarter of the pill once in the morning and once at night. Is there another blood thinner that can be prescribed rather than the Cilastizol?

Hi,

He can use Plavix tab, its a good medication with low side effects, effective in most cases with no allergic condition reported against it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
