Brief Answer:
I let my patients do so

Detailed Answer:
Although you should obviously check with your doctor how exactly he or she would have take these two medications, the scientific facts are as follows

1 Glimepiride is typically prescribed to be taken before breakfast

2 Januvia is ok to be taken at any time. So when I start one of my patients on Januvia, and (s)he is alrady taking Glimepiride, I suggest they take it at night regardless of meal

3 However, it is commonly taken in the morning by many people. And this is not wrong either because it can be taken at any time of the day irrespective of meal times.

4 That being said it is preferable that one takes it consistently at the same approximate time daily. So it is not ideal if one takes it in the morning today and at night the next time and then the timing varies daily.

5 Indeed I tell my patients that it is ok to take the two together

6 Sometimes, the endocrinologist may go by the glucose patterns during the day and night to decide the most appropriate time to take Januvia. So if you were to show your glucose log book to your doctor, (s)he may have a better idea regarding the timing of administration of this pill, especially with Glimepiride on board
