Can Synthroid And Thyroid Performance Plus Supplement Be Taken Together?

Question: I have been taking Thyroid Performance Plus instead of my synthroid. I was taking 1.50 on Mon Wed and Fridays and 1.75 on Tues, Thur, Sat and rest on Sunday. I am still cold and not seeing any difference in my weight or anything. I have read about a thyroid storm and I am concerned. I would like to know can I take them both? I have been on synthroid for over 20 years and it seems you do the same thing you continually get the same results. I have only been using the Thyroid Performance Plus supplement for 45 days.
Brief Answer:
Maintain TSH less than 2.5
Detailed Answer:
Good day.
Noted your concern. Yes you may take them both together. The aim of treatment should be to maintain your TSH less than 2.5. At this level you are likely to do well. Please understand that the main drug is Synthroid and supplements have minimal role. So even if you miss supplements there is no great issue. However, Synthroid must be taken on empty stomach daily.

Thanks for the response. I did fail to share with you that I have had the abletion therapy years ago. I started with Graves disease and of course its been hypothyrodism ever since. No matter what I do I never lose any weight. I am also a diabetic. I take Glucocil and my A1c has ranged anywhere from 6.1 to 6.9. I guess you can tell I am concerned about taking so much chemical stuff. Its a side effect to everything. I started with Metformin but my numbers have been much better since I have been on Glucocil which is a supplement.
Brief Answer:
Boost the metabolism
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the reply.
Infact Metformin helps to reduce some weight ( 1-2 kilos).
Your weight gain is unlikely to be related to thyroid if the blood TSH levels are optimum.
After certain age, body's metabolism slows down and one gain weight. You must do a combination of aerobic exercises and weight bearing exercises to improve your metabolism. That is a great way to reduce weight.
