Can Xanax Be Taken After Colonoscopy?

Question: Hello,
I had a colonoscopy this morning at 7am.
Is it safe to take .5mg of Xanax for anxiety this evening?

To clarify, I already had the the procedure this morning. My concern is any negitive interactions with the medicine that was given to put me to sleep
