Can Bowel Polyps Re-grow At The Age Of 57?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
these would not have regrown but if 8 yrs reassess
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
If they were removed then no changes would have occurred as it relates to these polyps , the colon would have been reviewed looking for any other suspicious areas.
So as it relates to these lesions, there is no problem, these would not have regrown but it is possible that other lesions may form.
Normally colonoscopy is recommended every 8 to 10 years after age 50. In persons with a family history of colon cancer, then more frequent checks may be needed.
If 8 to 10 years have passed, then you should be reassessed unless your doctor has indicated then they should be done more often
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
