Brief Answer: no Detailed Answer: Hi I m dr Alok, rheumatologist, pleased to answer your health related queries For rheumatoid arthritis, if patient need to take pain killer, as you mentioned- celecoxib, it means you are not taking proper treatment. I think you need to see a rheumatologist. You can increase dose of methotrexate up to 25 mg weekly and add hydroxychloroquinine, leflunomide etc You can also start on biologics group of medicines Hope this will help take care Dr Alok
