Brief Answer:
Weight also depends upon diet and exercise.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
You have already lost a lot of weight and it is a good sign for woman with PCOD. However it is difficult to say if the weight gain will start if the dose is decreased.
The basic principal of using metformin is that it makes the body tissue more sensitive to insulin. Now since the body tissue is less as you have lost weight, a decrease in dose is a good strategy. Excessive dose of any drug is toxic and the aim must be control the weight without use of drugs.
So you must train your body to remain healthy without metformin. Regular exercise and a good healthy diet will help in this.
So do not worry so much. Keep your diet under control as you must have done till now and exercise. You have done a great job by loosing so many kilos. Now there is no need to loose. Just keep it under control and it will be enough.
Hope this satisfies your query.
