Brief Answer:
Conservative treatment is tried first.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Treatment of lumbar scoliosis depends on the degree of bending and your symptoms control.

Conservative treatment is tried first and this consistent on avoiding weight lifting, loosing weight ( if you are overweight ), NSAID drugs use, physical therapy, swimming, epidural injections.

Decompression is achieved only by surgical procedures that range from endoscopic minimally invasive procedures to open laminectomies and fusion with hardware.

Surgery is indicated in high degree scoliosis and failure of conservative treatment to improve symptoms.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
