Does The Fetal Monitor Indicate If Nuchol Cord Is Wrapped Around Infant?
Question: would the fetal monitor during delivery indicate if nuchol cord is wrapped around neck thank you
Brief Answer:
Yes it can detect.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The fetal cardiac monitor can detect if there is a tight loop of cord around the baby's neck during delivery. The tight loop will cause a baby's distress during the contractions and the descent of the baby. This will show as a decrease in the fetal cardiac activity on the fetal monitor.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

thank you is this an issue physician would discuss with patient and make medical entries regarding same would it be considered a birth complication tks if additional payment necessary please advise you are being very helpful
Brief Answer:
Yes an entry is made. CTG tracing is attached in the file.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If any such thing is found the entry is made in the clinical records and it is conveyed to the patient that the baby is in distress. The CTG tracing is attached in the file. This may need an emergency cesarean section to avoid any further fetal distress.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Brief Answer:
Can be read by a gynecologist only.
Detailed Answer:
The fetal heart tracings can only be interpreted by a gynecologist. You can consult another gynecologist and show her the tracings for an expert opinion.
