Brief Answer:
would need adrenal hormone levels

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There is an area in the brain called the hypothalamus that releases a chemical called TRH.
This TRH then causes another area of the brain , the pituitary, to release another chemical, called TSH.

TSH then causes the thyroid gland to release the thyroid hormones.

The adrenal glands are found above the kidneys. They are involved in the release of other hormones such as aldosterone, glucocortisteroids, epinephrine and norepinephrine.

Thyroid blood tests and tests looking at the adrenal hormones are different because these are totally different hormones. Thyroid blood tests can be for TSH or the thyroid hormones.

Adrenal blood tests would be looking for the aldosterone, glucocorticoids , epinephrine or norepinephrine.

IN some cases if adrenal hormone levels are low, it can worsen thyroid hormone level in persons with a history of hypothyroidism.

In addition some persons may have both adrenal and thyroid hormone problems.

Summary: (1)thyroid blood tests would only show problems with the thyroid gland.
(2)you would need adrenal hormone blood tests to show up any problems with the adrenal gland

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
