Had Unripe Water Melon. Now Having Loose Motions. How To Recover?
Thanks for your query.
Gastroenteritis is a medical condition characterized by inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract that involves both the stomach and the small intestine, resulting in some combination of diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain and cramping.
Gastroenteritis is a very common condition, effecting a lot of individuals at any point of time.
Viruses (particularly rota virus) and the bacteria Escherichia coli and Compylobacter species are the primary causes of gastroenteritis. There are, however, many other infectious agents that can cause this syndrome. Non-infectious causes are seen on occasion, but they are less likely than a viral or bacterial cause.
Gastroenteritis is usually an acute and self-limiting disease that does not require medication. The preferred treatment in those with mild to moderate dehydration is oral re hydration therapy.
Keep the fluids up, take care of dehydration, if the symptoms do not subside you may need to take antibiotics or the other agents to slow down your gut, but for the time being stick to fluids and hopefully it should go very soon.
Thanks, I am available for follow up queries.
