Had Vaginal Delivery. Having Sore Abdomen And Uterus. Is It Normal?
Thanks for the query.
as we know postpartum period is a stressful period in which you have to face your own problems and also look after the baby.
normally it will take around 6 weeks to recover completely from the events of pregnancy,
for healing of episiotomy and local genital wounds it will take 1 to 2 weeks,
the uterus will take nearly 2 weeks to become pelvic organ till then it will appear as hard abdominal structure,
but by 8 days it should be below umbilicus, if it is still above umbilicus it indicates the possibility of sub-involution,
that can be because of factors like anemia, retained products, infection etc,
so better you consult your gynecologist once and get examined to rule out above possibilities,
if you established sufficient milk try to give normally which will decrease mental and physical stress to you,
try to take support of your family members in dealing with these things.
