Has Stomach Ache. Feels Vomiting. What To Do?

default
Posted on Wed, 12 Jun 2013
Question: My daughter has had minor stomach ache for the past week. It seems to be more painful if I press the upper or middle part of her abdomen. She says she doesn't really feel like vomitting unless I press hard. No other symptoms.

Hi,
The pain as described by you is suggestive of pain of acute gastritis. It is usually in the mid abdomen and above the umbilicus
Hoe she is passing stool normally.

Give her some bland food .
Get her examined by a pediatrician.
Till you get the appointment you can try over the counter antacids.
Gastritis can be precipitated by stress in kids!
Good luck
God bless
