Having OCD, Dysthymia And Bipolar Disorder. Father Died Of Alzheimer's. Suggestions?

Question: I wish I was dead. Only the fear of hell has kept me alive for the past 30 or 40 years. I've been dx'd with OCD (which ruined my gums and now my teeth, I am a recluse), dysthymia, bipolar disorder changed to Borderline PD, anxiety, you name it. Hospitalized more times than I can count, 1st time at 17 AGAINST MY WILL. Nothing helps--no meds, no therapy, nothing. I only have my 86-year-old mother who is not well, father died of Alzheimer's in 2008, no husband, kids, or siblings. No friends either since I was teased mercilessly in school for being slightly overweight. I never had any self-esteem and now with this damnable periodontal disease I have NONE. I am pro-abortion because if you aren't born, you can't suffer. I HATE life. Oh yeah, also dx'd with Body Dysmorphic Disorder but that's wrong because my "ugliness" is NOT IMAGINED OR EXAGGERATED--if you don't believe me I can put you in touch with my periodontist and he will confirm that I am NOT exaggerating or imaginging anything. I wish I DID have BDD, there are treatments for that. I HATE EXISTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As per my understanding your question revolves around your gums issues, i.e-periodontal disease.

Their are three types of treatment for these disease .

1) non surgical : SCALING AND ROOT PLANING
Scaling and root planing is a careful cleaning of the root surfaces to remove plaque and calculus [tartar] from deep periodontal pockets and to smooth the tooth root to remove bacterial toxins. Scaling and root planing is often followed by adjunctive therapy such as local delivery antimicrobials and host modulation, as needed on a case-by-case basis.

2) surgical :GUM GRAFT SURGERY
Exposed tooth roots are the result of gum recession. Gum graft surgery will repair the defect and help to prevent additional recession and bone loss.

3) Laser: LASER TREATMENT FOR GUM DISEASE
Limited research suggests that the use of lasers as an adjunct to scaling and root planing (SRP) may improve the effectiveness of this procedure. SRP is a non-surgical therapy used to treat periodontal diseases. In addition, when the lasers are used properly during periodontal therapy there can be less bleeding, swelling and discomfort to the patient during surgery.

I would consult a local periodontist and ask more about this options and ask which one is best for your specific case.

I've had two periodontists, I am still seeing one of them. No one ever even suggested root planing or laser (probably because they know it wouldn't work for me), and I have had more gum graft surgeries than I can count. (They hurt like hell.) They INVARIABLY failed, even tho I tried everything the periodontist suggested. If I brush thoroughly enough to try to prevent root cavities, I will make the gum recession worse (or as much worse as it can get). If I am careful not to cause more gum recession, I will get cavities on my roots which apparently is as bad as the recession itself. I really don't need a lecture on periodontal disease/treatment, I could write a book on it. And the more questions I ask my periodontist, the more confused and helpless I am.

Do they still do brain lobotomies? Maybe that would make my existence halfway bearable. I'd rather be brain-dead than go on like this. Or just dead, period.

Welcome back. Brain lobotomies has be creased after 1970, I don't know any neurosurgeon currently perform the lobotomy of brain in you state of SC. Only "Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts" do preform psycosurgery in USA as far I know.
