Having Unilateral Headache, Worse While Having Periods. Feeling Nausea. How To Prevent This?

Question: What does this mean when it is associated with one's menstrual period? Unilateral headache once a week behind one ear, worse while having period, bright flashing lights before onset, and nausea.
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Well, you may have migraine which gets aggravated during menstruation (Menstrual Migraine). It is also called hormonal headache.
This is usually benign (harmless) and need symptomatic treatment. If continues to suffer, you may require prophylactic treatment for migraines.
Hope this answers your query. Let me know if you have any other enquiries.
