How Can A Painful Wart On The Sole Of The Foot Be Treated?
Question: My husband has either a planter's wart or corn on the outside portion of the bottom of his foot that has just developed over the last two weeks. He had a planters wart about 4 years ago in the same place, but with treatment it disappeared. However, the area has now become so painful that he can barely walk and his whole foot has swelled. Is it unusual for a possible planters wart to cause such swelling?

Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Can you please attach a photo of this lesion. Otherwise it will be very hard to help you.
Warts in general are kind of painful. Depending of its location, may hurt more or less. However it is hardly possible for a wart to cause while foot swelling.
Foot injury due to bad walking position (caused by a wart) can be somehow connected with wart.
If he has no fever, rest, lukewarm compresses, leg elevation and antiinflammatory medicines are usually enough to get rid of swelling.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
