Suggest Treatment For Foot Injury

default
Posted on Wed, 18 Oct 2017
Question: I have a foot injury. I think it is a bruised bone and/or bruised muscle. Woke up yesterday morning with my foot bothering me, like it was sprained. Discovered what I think is wrong by usual method, by moving hand around on foot. Injury is on left foot on the I side about 2 inches from heel. How do I treat it to make it feel a little better. Heat or cold.?.

Brief Answer:
Cold compress will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The presence of bruise suggests internal bleeding and hematoma. Application of ice will help but you need to get an X-ray done to rule out any stress fracture. Do get a pain killer prescribed after getting it examined by an orthopedician.
I hope this answers your query.
