Question: Hi I've been struggling with these problems for years and there effecting me in everyway of life maybe getting worse. I am struggling to see a NHS psychiatrist and I'm worried things will get that bad it may be too late.

I've been on multiple ssri/snri and made me better but worse I'm now not on anything and I'm worse but better in ways but still struggling.

I've listed some problems below:
Anxious

Extreme rapid mood swings and emotions (worsened on medication)

Suicidal thoughts
Racing thought
Difficult to concentrate
Black and white thinking
Unstable relationships
Feelings of hopelessness
Feelings of guilt

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.

What you are describing is consistent with a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. This consists of rapid shifts in mood, unstable relationships, fear of abandonment, and suicidal thoughts. This condition also typically does not respond to medications.

However, it is treatable with either DBT or psychodynamic psychotherapy. If you are suicidal, you need to visit an emergency room for rapid assessment and treatment. Otherwise, please seek out a therapist in your area.

Detailed Answer:
The best thing you can do is be as honest as possible about your symptoms. Don't hold back in discussing your distress. This will result in a more accurate referral.
