3. No trauma other than issues in past with pulled back that usually get better in a couple of weeks. Happen about once a year.
4. No swelling in neck
5. No other systemactic disorders, but have prehypertension (BP 135 / 85) and borderline glucose.

more likely cervical origin muscular discomfort .
Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear
Thanks for your details .
* Seems more in relation to cervical etiology as pain level increases when turn
head far left or right .
* Neck pain is not related to prehypertension and borderline glucose .
* Suggested guidelines for you
- avoid extreme angular movements of neck
- avoid very thick pillows for neck support
- can temporarily take Aleve orally or can use local analgesic spray in case of
more pain
- lastly for '' getting older '' -- '' age is mere a game of numbers , your real age
is how you feel from inside dear ''
Hope this will help you .
Welcome for any further assistance .
Wishing you fine recovery from the same .
Regards .
