Thanks for the quick response ... Actually I was worried initially because my first child is very small ... Later one of the gynec living in my society told me that the tablet may harm the baby so u should not have this risk and terminate it ..its my seventh week of pregnancy and am still in delema.. Also starting the folic acid too late will effect to the health of the baby . Because at my first time even when I was planning for conception i started the folic acid tablets and after a month I conceived and my baby is very healthy and smart .
Thinking all this , what's your advise ? I should continue or not .
Also if I terminate after seven week , will it be possible that do that with medication only?
I am so confused and worried since a week , pls help .

All explained..

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
Please relax.
I understand that since your first child is young, you might have had your doubts.
And please take my word that the tablet is not going to harm your unborn child, you can definitely continue the pregnancy.
Ideally, folic acid should be started when you plan a pregnancy, but now , you can start it as soon as you are aware of taking it.
It will not cause any adverse effect to your child.
Please do not think that your child will not be healthy or smart.
Regarding decision to continue, it is a personal decision, and only you can make it - nobody else.
I can just give you the information that you ask for, but I cannot decide or influence you about continuing the pregnancy.
Also, if you decide to terminate after seventh week, medications can still be tried, though chances are slightly more that they may fail and you may need surgical abortion.
Take care, and keep me posted.
