How Long Do One Need To Wear Compression Stockings?

Question: Hello I had a tummy tuck a little over 2 weeks ago...how long do I still need to wear my compression sock....or can I take them off..Thanks

Noted the history Of tummy tuck 2 weeks ago, and still wearing compression socks.

I hope you are fully ambulated meaning walking and involved in daily routine activities.

If the compression stockings were advised as a preventive measure to avoid deep vein thrombosis, not on any medications and have no symptoms of any sort you may stop using it.

Please give some additional information:
- do you have any varicose veins?
- Any other problems in past ?
- What was the advise given to you by your operating Surgeon or his Nurse? This too is important.

well they just gave it to my for surgery..I don't have varicose vein...or any other health problem...

As said earlier you may stop using if you are fully ambulant.
Go by your instincts means, if you have no problems and if you are fully ambulant you may stop using socks.

Yet, follow the instructions of your Surgeon as he knows the exact position and his experience tells you the correct thing to do.
