Doctor I have also been told that my cat scan to my belly says I have acute cystitis. What is that ? Uti ? And can that make you feel sick as well .
Brief Answer:
Cystitis is also Urinary tract infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You are right. Cystitis is infection of urinary bladder, which is a part of urinary tract. It can make you feel sick and also feverish.
You need to take antibiotics according to urinary culture, alone with cital syrup and plenty of juice and water.
Let me know if you want to ask any other questions.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Urine culture can be normal
Detailed Answer:
Hello mam,
As you are taking drugs for costochondritis urine reports can be normal, so some time diagnosis can become difficult.
I would suggest you to take broad-spectrum antibiotics. Also all others measures as I explained in previous answer.
Thanks

Hello doctor I am taking just naprosyn for the costochondritis . I tried asking for anti biotics in the ER tonight for the uti and they would not give them to me because they said my urine was clean. Although I am positive I have a uti
Brief Answer:
You should go to a physician
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I do not think ER people can help you. They are mainly for symptomatic treatment I think you should go to your family physician, he will surely write you a antibiotic. Norfloxacin is a good antibiotic in your condition.
Also take cital syrup.
Thanks.
